Kagya Nyanin is Vice President of Engineering at Principal Mineral and a technology leader with over 20 years of experience in materials and metals manufacturing. He is an expert in rare earth metal extraction, molten salt electrolysis, metallothermic reduction, alloy formulation, strip casting, and magnet manufacturing. Previously at MP Materials, Kagya led engineering for a $700M alloy and magnet plant, including design, commissioning, and pilot-to-commercial scale operations. He has also held senior technical leadership roles at Less Common Metals (UK) and holds degrees in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.
